Mr. Mean Funkfest with the Funk Center. Mr. Mean is making its long-awaited return and it’s time to party! Now launching Mr. Mean Imperial IPA for an early preview and to Share a Pint Make a Difference for the Dayton Funk Center. Come down to the Taproom and boogie to celebrate the return of ‘The Man’ himself, Mr. Mean. Tuesday, 5 to 10pm.

Wednesday morning Yoga Class. Janet Sweeney is back with her wonderful yoga class for ALL body types! Her classes provide a great workout while being sensitive to each individual’s needs. Class is offered every Wednesday morning, 10:15 – 11:15 am in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Oakwood. $5 per person. Drop in or attend regularly.
PechaKucha Dayton is kicking off their 10th year and DAI’s 100th year with a fun night. This is Thursday, 6:30pm, Cash bar opens; 7pm, Auditorium doors open; 7:30pm, PKs begin.
Fifth House Ensemble: Luna de Cuernos. Inspired by a Puerto Rican folktale (the title translates as “horned moon”), Fifth House celebrates the power of community in this multimedia program. Music is joined here with lively video and narration to convey the story of an urban garden threatened by mysterious forces. The production features the graphic work of illustrator and designer Sarah Becan. Co-presented by the Graul Chair for Arts and Languages. Sears Recital Hall, Thursday, 7:30 p.m.
2019 The Great Discussions Agenda. Great Decisions is America’s largest discussion program

 on world affairs. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book, watching the DVD and meeting in a Discussion Group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today. It is Fridays, 10am at The Dayton International Peace Museum.
Make a trip to Tipp to this year’s annual Tipp City arts & fine crafts show – An Art Affair! Local artists and fine craftspersons are offering lots of great art and fine crafts ranging from paintings to wood crafts to glass to fabric to metal to jewelry! This is at the Zion Lutheran Church’s Community Room, Saturday, 10am to 4pm.
Coco’s Bistro for more than a dozen years, has put on “Savor your Sunday” brunches benefiting Stivers School for the Arts. It’s one of the only times during the entire year that the popular restaurant is open for brunch. 10am to 1:30pm. Stivers Jazz Orchestra, this Sunday.
Aullwood’s Winter Speaker Series Matthew Shumar is involved with the Lights Out Ohio program across the state of Ohio. This project helps reduce bird mortality rates from collisions with buildings and increases data collection success with volunteer training and public outreach and education. Sunday, 2:30 to 4pm.
The Lincoln Society of Dayton have a program of dulcimer music and auctioning Lincoln and other interesting items, plus a silent and secret auctions as well. The afternoon ends with a noisy, off-key rendition of Happy Birthday to Mr. Lincoln, a few days early. Non-members are welcome anytime! This is at the Administrative Office Building of Ohio Hospice, Paragon and Commerce Park Roads, Washington Township, on Sunday 2pm.
The Stained Glass Series Concert is at the Inspiration Church, 2900 Philadelphia Drive, to celebrate the human spirit through the universal medium of music. This is Sunday, at 5pm and is free.
The Garden Club of Dayton is bringing back FIVE SEASONS: THE GARDENS OF PIET OUDOLF on Sunday, at 5:30. Because its initial screening last fall was sold out, many in the gardening community were not able to view this remarkable film, so it’s being offered once more. All proceeds from ticket sales will support the many community projects of the Garden Club of Dayton. Tickets are $10 each and available at The Neon.
Meet local author Jess Montgomery in the lobby of Centerville Library. Montgomery is the author of the Kinship Historical Mysteries and copies of “The Widows,” the first novel in her series, will be available for purchase. Montgomery is a pen name of Sharon Short, newspaper columnist with the Dayton Daily News. The book is a gripping historical mystery about two women whose lives collide when the man they both love is murdered. It was inspired by the true story of Ohio’s first sheriff, Maude Collins, and prominent labor and community organizer Mary Harris “Mother” Jones.
Star City Brewing Company Teams Up with Twisted River Coffee Roaster’s for Twisted of the Month. With limited batches released on the second Monday of every month, guests get a loyalty stamp for each new pint they try. Collect 10 of the 12 stamps and at the end of the year you’ll get a complimentary Star City and Twisted River mug. Monday, February 11 from 4-10pm, 319 S 2nd St, Miamisburg.
