What is Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency?

January 9, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Jad Mubaslat has been passionate about Bitcoin for several years. He founded BitQuick.co while attending The Ohio State University in 2013. The Bitcoin trading platform was accepted into leading Bitcoin accelerator, Boost.VC in 2014; BitQuick.co was then later acquired in 2016. Since then, Jad has remained an active advisor to the company, organizes a meetup for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in the Dayton area, and now works as VP of Engineering for Rain Financial, the first regulated cryptocurrency exchange in the Middle East.

The Dayton Bitcoin Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Meetup is for anyone interested in blockchain and cryptocurrencies and other decentralized ledger technologies. We hope that this group and its meetings will enable locals to connect and collaborate on blockchain projects, discuss and share news, and to present work that is already going on in the industry. This meetup will feature a presentation on the topic of how Bitcoin may (or may not!) fit into a retirement portfolio. What are the ways to get in the market? What are the risks? And more.

No cost to attend but it’s important that everyone RSVP (link below)by Wednesday, January 8, 2020 noon in order to determine the facility we will use at the Dayton Peace Museum.
