Volunteer: MetroParks Naturalist Program Introduction

November 19 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Five Rivers MetroParks is taking applications and scheduling interviews for the 2020 MetroParks volunteer naturalist service learning classes. Volunteers will focus on natural history and the interpretive, or storytelling, aspects of conservation. Being a naturalist is a state of mind. Becoming a naturalist is a journey – a vocation that calls for the exercise of both artistic creativity and scientific discipline. Becoming a naturalist requires that you both teach and learn – providing opportunities to share your knowledge, interests and talents with others in a classroom without boundaries. Naturalists are individuals who find new and fun ways to help others realize the depth of their relationship with the natural world. This program introduction will allow you to discover program details, decide if this is the leadership opportunity for you, and get you started on the next steps to participate in this exciting program.
