The Artist As…Entrepreneur
May 18 @ 7:00 pmFree
Making art and making a living can seem like an impossibility for many artists, while digital music and video platforms enrich the platform at the expense of the artist.
Although we don’t have all the answers, our guests can shed some light on approaches that do work for making the leap to making money from your art. All three panelists have created online platforms that help artists find a way to monetize their work, giving them the tools to become entrepreneurs.
Join us to explore ways to make a living from what we love to do – create.
-Kristine Maltrud, CEO of ArtSpark, an organization that assists artists and creators to successfully make, market and sell their creative work. Kristine also works as a private coach and consultant for individual artists who want to make a leap in their creative careers.
-Cory Huff, Founder of The Abundant Artist, where artists can learn how to sell their art. Founded in 2009, TAA has courses, books, and hundreds of articles and podcast episodes on how to be a professional fine artist.
