Beth just released her first children’s book called,  “Tucker Finds His Forever Home.” This important and touching 5-star book is told through the eyes of a young abandoned pit named Tucker. Young readers will follow the pup’s journey of abandonment, fear, and discrimination and cheer for his path toward hope, self-worth, and eventual unconditional love. Her new book will be available, complete with an autographed message for your dog.   100% of the proceeds from Wagtown’s book benefit animal welfare! Yes…100%.

 See the amazing artist  who brought the beautiful watercolor illustrations to life for the Wagtown book. Get a peek at the early sketches and talk to Erica Schindler about her journey as a first-time book illustrator.  She’ll also be thrilled to sign copies of the “Tucker” book. 

 Meet pet entrepreneur  Melinda Strenger Kirk, author of “Brunch & Bitches,” a cookbook for dogs. She is also the creator of  I Love Pet Cakes that specializes in healthy celebrations for special dog days. She will be signing her new book and giving away Green Woof Waffle Dog Treats to the first 25 purchasers.  You’ll want to get there early to ensure a tasty treat for your pooch. 50% of her cookbook sales will benefit animal welfare projects and programs. 

 Get your pooch fix! The amazing animal heroes at Adopt-A-Pit  will be on hand with dogs looking for their loving forever home! Nala Mae, the model photographed by Tom Gilliam for “Tucker Finds His Forever Home” was a foster in their care!)   Dog beer?!?! Yep! Mack’s Tavern will be serving “dog beer” (pet safe) to the pooches at the event.

 Raffle baskets will be featured with all kinds of goodies for your pooch pal. Books, bandannas, stickers, “leash swag” buttons , bowls, mugs, treats, and more will fill bundles that you can enter to win!  Proceeds benefit animal welfare.

 Claybourne GRILLE Food Truck will be there from 12-5. Plan to grab a human goodie from the delicious menu. YUM!
