January 13 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The online magazine Literary Mama was founded to give mothers a voice. The journal celebrates “the physical, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual processes of becoming a mother through words and images that may be so stark it hurts.” Finding that voice and the time to write, however, is a struggle that all mothers (and parents and caregivers) experience. Join one of the senior editors of Literary Mama, Christina Consolino, as she helps you piece together your unique story, whether that be an ode to the nurse who helped you through a natural delivery, a creative nonfiction piece that celebrates your neurodiverse child’s talents, or a literary reflection essay on how your mother’s group helped you realize your writing dream. You need not have a work-in-progress for this class! Only enthusiasm and the drive to hone your creativity.

This winter authors and instructors, Katrina Kittle and Christina Consolino are back, offering their expertise and direction with story and the written word. We’d also like to welcome Heather Martin to our staff, bringing years of expertise and guidance to writers and business persons throughout the Dayton area. These three talents definitely make up a writing trifecta!
