EMBRACE YOUR LITERARY MAMA
January 13 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The online magazine Literary Mama was founded to give mothers a voice. The journal celebrates “the physical, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual processes of becoming a mother through words and images that may be so stark it hurts.” Finding that voice and the time to write, however, is a struggle that all mothers (and parents and caregivers) experience. Join one of the senior editors of Literary Mama, Christina Consolino, as she helps you piece together your unique story, whether that be an ode to the nurse who helped you through a natural delivery, a creative nonfiction piece that celebrates your neurodiverse child’s talents, or a literary reflection essay on how your mother’s group helped you realize your writing dream. You need not have a work-in-progress for this class! Only enthusiasm and the drive to hone your creativity.
