Ghostlight Coffee is opening the doors to its second location next Thursday, November 14, just in time for coffee lovers to cozy up away from the cold.
Ghostlight Midtown will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting and “first latte pour” at 10:00am on Thursday, November 14 at 800 S Patterson Blvd, just next to Old Scratch Pizza. All are invited to watch the ceremony before being welcomed into the shop for regular business.
“We can’t wait to show Dayton what we’ve been creating in Midtown,” said owner Shane Anderson. “Our team’s been working hard to fine-tune the menu and experience.”
Ghostlight Coffee announced its plans to open the new cafe earlier in 2019. The cafe will boast high-quality, ethically sourced coffee from Cincinnati-based roaster Deeper Roots Coffee as well as a featured monthly roaster, a full espresso bar and loose-leaf Rishi teas. Cold drinks such as Ghstlight’s signature 24hr. Cold Brew Coffee, iced teas, lemonade and Circle Kombucha will be available on tap. The cafe will highlight Ghostlight’s in-house bakery, providing breakfast and lunch-focused sandwiches, toasts, tartines, salads and pastries for dine-in or carry-out.
The shop has a mid-century modern inspired look with global design influences. Seating options include casual banquettes and cafe tables, a sprawling communal table, and an intimate conversation area that opens up to a landscaping view of downtown.
In the process of opening the second shop, Ghostlight expanded its staff from 14 to 29 both full-time and part-time employees. A number of existing team members were promoted to full-time status and will be working between both the Wayne Avenue and Midtown locations, bringing a bit of familiarity to this new Dayton experience.
Ghostlight Midtown will operate on independent hours, catering to surrounding businesses and neighborhood. Ghostlight Midtown is open from 6:30am-6:30pm Monday-Friday and 8:00am-4:00pm on Saturday and Sunday, with kitchen service stopping at 4:00pm daily.
