Golden Lamb continues its historical dinner series at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 28 with the tale of a controversial Civil War politician from Ohio. It’s the latest in our Dinner with History series, and Golden Lamb Historian John Zimkus will talk about Clement Vallandigham’s colorful life, his controversial political views as a Copperhead Democrat, his connection to the Golden Lamb, and the tale of the events leading up to his untimely death at the Golden Lamb.
The menu for the night includes:
• Starter: Burrata and local tomato salad with cucumber, white balsamic vinaigrette, grilled extra-virgin olive oil scented baguette
• Entrée course: Certified Angus Beef New York strip steak and seared scallop with goat cheese pesto mashed potatoes, local summer succotash, cabernet reduction
• Decadence: Strawberry shortcake with pickled strawberries, vanilla whipped cream
