Story Slam falls on the first day of spring this year, and spring means growth. Plants poking out of the ground and leaves on the trees signify that the world is coming back to life after the winter.
People grow in similar ways; we have a burst of new growth, then some time to rest, and more growth. Our Dayton storytelling community would love to hear about a time when you grew, and how that changed your world.
Doors open for seating at 6:30pm, stories start at 7pm. Storytellers are encouraged to prepare a 5-minute story relating to the theme and place their name in the hat. Tellers are drawn at random and the best story of the night wins $50.
Admission to Story Slam Dayton is $5 and Wiley’s requests you come in hungry and thirsty. Eat, drink, hear stories!
