Ohio Playwrighters Circle Ask “What’s Your Story?”

September 14 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

$250

A great story needs to be told. Tell yours with the guidance of the Ohio Playwrighters Circle. Level I classes begin September 14 for writers of all skill levels. This class is designed to take the mystery out of playwrighting and provide an introduction to new playwrights. The methods of building a play are explored through a variety of exercises. Our focus will be on understanding the tools of basic dramatic structure. The process involves a lot of scene writing, a lot of thinking, a lot of laughing and a lot of learning. Each playwright will have an opportunity to create a 10-minute scene/play that will be presented in a public reading.

The class is designed for novices and experienced playwrights, actors and directors alike. No playwrights are expected to begin the class with already completed work. Classes will held on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm at the Metropolitan Arts Center, 126 N. Main Street in Dayton.
