This exhibit, produced by the African American Visual Artists Guild, celebrates churches that have been longtime civil rights advocates in their communities. The public is invited to an opening reception on Sun., Aug. 4, 2-4 p.m. Seventeen professional and amateur artist members and guest artists of the AAVAG contributed their time and creative talents to make this exhibit a success. The artists contributing their talents to this exhibit are: Andrea Walker Cummings, Yvette Walker Dalton, Dwayne M Daniel, Clifford Darrett, Willis Bing Davis, Deborah Dixon, Horace Dozier, Lois Fortson-Kirk, Morris T Howard, Bennie Kelley, Clarice Moore, Simeon Oyeyimi, Debra Richardson-Wood, Craig Screven, and Erin Smith-Glen.
