Learn about the creative journey in producing your own feature film projects as John Whitney, Phil Garrett, and Dino Tripodis share their knowledge and experience in producing for their feature independent film THE STREET WHERE WE LIVE.

JOHN WHITNEY – Originally from Dayton, Ohio, John has been at the helm of music videos, commercials, short and feature films. He has directed the short films, Eroded, Measured Sacrifice, A Family Matter, and The Mission and the feature film, THE STREET WHERE WE LIVE. Two of his films, “A Passion for Filmmaking” and “The Fixer,” aired on the Independent Film Channel as part of their original series, IFC Media Lab.
PHIL GARRETT Is a filmmaker and educator. He is a partner in Arbor Avenue Films and Route 7 Films, with whom he recently produced the independent feature film, THE STREET WHERE WE LIVE. Phil’s background ranges from live action and animation, to studio and independent motion pictures, documentary, visual effects, commercial video, experimental film, and theatre. His short films have played internationally in festivals and venues in Iceland, Ireland, Portugal, Germany, Greece, and across the US. He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2017 for his short documentary, “Dennison W. Griffith: Another World,” which premiered on WOSU/PBS.He is a Visiting Professor of Film at Kenyon College where he teaches directing, screenwriting, producing, and film studies. Phil is currently working on a documentary about Icelandic cinema and is producing two feature films to be released in 2019.
DINO TRIPODIS is a producer, writer, actor and owner of NEVER THE LUCK PRODUCTIONS. While “luck” is in the name, he banks more on the skill, talent and quality of work the people he makes movies with possess. That’s evident in NEVER THE LUCK’S previous efforts which include the festival award winning feature film, MINUS ONE, and other film projects that include THE FUNNY MAN, SOUTH 40, ERODED, and the Emmy award winning NITE OWL THEATER. Dino Produced, co-wrote and also stared in the feature film, THE STREET WHERE WE LIVE.
