Bird Language Club
April 13 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 9:00am on day Second of the month, repeating until May 11, 2019
This club meets monthly to practice the art and science of listening to communication patterns of birds and wildlife, and to awaken deep nature connection within us. Learn how birds broadcast the stories of the land through calls, alarms, postures and behaviors. Such stories include a weasel or hawk hunting in the forest, or a house cat creeping through the neighborhood. The gathering begins with an orientation and welcome indoors. Next we sit together outdoors to observe bird behavior. We return indoors to share stories from the sit and map our observations. Newcomers welcome. No birding experience necessary. All ages. Free, donations welcome. Trailside.
