5th Anniversary Celebration: (DE-FI) Gives Back

June 24 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

As is tradition with the Dayton Emerging Fashion Incubator (DE-FI) LLC, we will once again celebrate our anniversary by engaging in Community Outreach. This year we will be volunteering for the annual Keeping the Traditions Native American Pow Wow held at SunWatch Indian Village.

(DE-FI) will be collecting can goods and donations of hats, gloves, and scarves from children in grades K-12 from 2p-5pm for our official non-profit and 501 c3 , Circle of Vision Keepers Re-entry and Recovery program (COVK). We will have a table set up near the parking lot for supporters to drop off their donations, all donations are tax deductible.

We will be assisting our Director of Community Outreach and Director COVK Khadijah Ali with the annual Doc Herman Memorial feed honoring one of our extended family members/photographer who passed away earlier this year, Thomas Schiebenberger.
This is a potluck style event, so you are welcomed to bring a covered dish as we celebrate Thomas’ life and the finale of the 2 day Pow Wow.

The feed will begin at the conclusion of the Pow Wow at 5:45pm, cover dishes my be dropped off at 2p. Admission into the Pow Wow is $8/ adults, $6/senior citizens and students ages 6-16, children under 5 are free. Admission is not required to drop off donations.

We look forward to seeing you all on June 24 to help us ring in year number of 5 of fashion and community engagement. #WhatDoYouDEFI#FirstFlightNowFashion
